wednesday nights look like:

LY meets every Wednesday night during the school terms, from Week Two to Week Nine.

Our engaging Wednesday nights run from 6:30 pm to 8:30 pm, offering a vibrant space for youth to connect, grow, and have fun.

How are nights at Youth organised?

During the term, we host a variety of engaging nights filled with activities designed to keep your student connected and excited. Each evening is focused on creating a safe and welcoming environment where high schoolers can talk about life, build friendships, and explore their faith in Jesus.

On Squad Nights, we break into smaller groups based on grades and gender. These evenings are all about building strong relationships with our Youth Mentors and Helpers. Through fun team challenges and meaningful discussions, we help youth navigate the ups and downs of life today. It's a time for personal growth, bonding, and discovering more about themselves and their faith.

Squad Nights:

On Service Nights we come together in the Auditorium for an evening of community and worship. We start with live Praise and Worship music, creating a heartfelt and engaging experience. Afterward, there's an inspiring message aimed at challenging and equipping your youth for life. It's a wonderful time for students to grow spiritually, be encouraged, and connect with others in a meaningful way.

Service Nights:

Social Nights are all about fun and relaxation for your student. We set up different areas around the campus with various activities to engage in. Whether they want to join in on the fun or simply chill with their friends, there’s something for everyone. It’s a laid-back evening designed for making memories, building friendships, and enjoying a great time together in a welcoming environment.

FAQs

  • Lighthouse Youth meets at Lighthouse Church in the main Auditorium (unless we've got a special location planned for a night out!).

When you arrive, drive around to the front of the church for drop-off or you can park in the carpark and head over to the registration section to say Hi!

  • Check-in stations are open from 6:10 pm to 6:50 pm at the front of the Church Auditorium. If you're new, you can register your youth online or in person at the Registration section on-site.

If you choose to register ahead of time all your student has to do on the night is simply line up at the Check-In station to get signed in and they are all good to go!

  • You are welcome to walk in with your student, but you certainly don’t have to! When kids arrive, our Youth Team will greet them and make sure they know where to go.

  • There are some Youth nights when we will have dinner provided; however, for these nights, we will notify all parents beforehand with prices so you can plan accordingly.

  • LY usually wraps up around 8pm, and you can pick up your student where you dropped them off by the Main Auditorium.

  • We are SUPER picky about who we invite to lead our Youth students. Potential leaders fill out an application and go through an onboarding process with our Youth staff. Once leaders are chosen, we provide training during a 'probational period' with a qualified Youth leader so they are prepared and equipped to lead students. All Youth Leaders are required to have a Working with Children Blue Card.

  • Of course! As you register your student, there will be a medical section for you to fill out that lets us know of any dietary requirements and medical needs we need to be aware of. We can make adjustments to accomodate those needs and ensure your child has a fantastic time at LY!
